Biography

Marta Pascual’s main research interests focus on analysing the genetic structure of terrestrial and marine populations, both vertebrates and invertebrates, using different molecular markers. She has analysed genetic connectivity among populations of native and introduced species to reveal the role of discontinuities modifying gene flow, and has genotyped individuals of non-model species at hundreds to thousands of SNPs to assess dispersal and the identify genes under selection and examine how they vary along a wide geographic gradient.
