Biography:

Jordi Roca Lacostena’s early research projects centred on the fields of artificial intelligence and phylogenetics, with particular focus on multiagent systems, locating patterns in DNA sequences and different nucleotide substitution models. He worked as an assistant lecturer on the mathematics courses for the Bachelor’s Degree in Bioinformatics since these courses began in the 2016–2017 academic year. This year he defended his PhD thesis on applied mathematics and joined the teaching staff as a lecturer for the subject of Linear Algebra.
