Biography

Dr Sònia Casillas is an interim senior lecturer at the Department of Genetics and Microbiology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She has over 15 years’ research experience in analysing genetic diversity. Her current research interests focus on integrating population genomic data with other omics layers, mainly transcriptomic and epigenomic data, in both Drosophila and humans. She teaches Genomics and Bioinformatics and coordinates the Core Bioinformatics module for the MSc in Bioinformatics at the UAB.
