ESCI-UPF Scholarships

ESCI-UPF awards various scholarships based on the academic performance of our students as well as the familial economic conditions of the applicants. To this end, a Scholarship Commission has been established to evaluate these criteria and set the endowment and allocation.

Types of Scholarships and Conditions for Granting Them

Nacho Dualde Talent Scholarship

NEW ACCESS STUDENTS

  • One single scholarship
  • Endowment of 100% of the tuition fee amount
  • Single call. The deadline for applying ends on June 4th (before Selectividad)
  • Academic requirements: 9.00 average grade in Bachillerato
  • Economic requirements: no income limit
  • Granting criteria: based on a score out of 10, taking into account the academic record. In the event of a tie, the decision is made based on family income

ESCI-UPF STUDENTS

The scholarship will automatically be assigned to the student with the best academic record in each course.

Academic requirements: must not have any subjects from the previous course pending.

  • Second-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.50 from the previous year
  • Third-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.75 from the previous year
  • Fourth-year students must have a minimum average grade of 9.00 from the previous year

In the event of a tie, the decision is made based on family income.

ESCI-UPF Excellence Scholarship

NEW ACCESS STUDENTS

  • 3 scholarships
  • Endowment of 80% of the tuition fee amount
  • Single call. Deadline for submitting the application: June 4th (before Selectividad)
  • Academic requirements: 8.00 average grade in Bachillerato
  • Economic requirements: a maximum per capita taxable base of the household in the last Personal Income Tax return of €24,000
  • Granting criteria: based on a score out of 10, of which 5 points are for the academic record and the other 5 for family income
  • The amount of the scholarship for the following courses will be 80%

REQUIREMENTS TO MAINTAIN THE SCHOLARSHIP - ESCI-UPF STUDENTS

  • Economic requirements: the maximum limit of €24,000 of per capita taxable base of the household from the last tax return will be the same for the following three years.
  • Academic requirements: must not have any subjects from the previous course pending at the time of presenting the documentation
    •   Second-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.00 from the previous year
    •   Third-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.25 from the previous year
    •   Fourth-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.50 from the previous year
ESCI-UPF 50% Scholarship

NEW ACCESS STUDENTS

  • 4 scholarships
  • Endowment of 50% of the tuition fee amount
  • Single call. Final date for application submission: 4th of June (before Selectividad)
  • Academic requirements: 8.00 average grade in Bachillerato or 8.50 average grade in CFGS (Advanced Vocational Training Course)
  • Economic requirements: a maximum per capita taxable base of the family unit in the last Personal Income Tax return of €24,000
  • Granting criteria: based on a score of 10, 5 points are for the academic record and the other 5 for family income. In the event of a tie, the lowest per capita taxable base takes precedence

REQUIREMENTS TO MAINTAIN THE SCHOLARSHIP - ESCI-UPF STUDENTS

  • The amount of the scholarship for subsequent courses will be 50%. The requirements to maintain it will be academic.
  • Must not have any subjects from the previous course pending at the time of presenting the documentation
    •   Second-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.00 from the previous year
    •   Third-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.25 from the previous year
    •   Fourth-year students must have a minimum average grade of 8.50 from the previous year
ESCI-UPF Scholarship

NEW ACCESS STUDENTS

  • A minimum of 20 and a maximum of 40 scholarships for new access students
  • Endowment of 30% extendable to 50% in the second call in October
  • Two calls. The final date for application submission in the first call is the 4th of June (before Selectividad). The last date for submission in the second call is the 31st of October
  • Academic requirements: 7.00 average grade in A-Levels or 7.50 average in Advanced Vocational Training Course (CFGS) in the first call. In the second call, at least 0.50 points more than the cut-off mark of the first allocation of the current year
  • Economic requirements: For the first call, the family unit's maximum per capita taxable base in the last Personal Income Tax return is €18,000. The second call has an income limit of €30,600 per capita taxable base
  • Granting criteria: based on a score out of 10, of which 5 points are for the academic record and the other 5 for family income

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP - ESCI-UPF STUDENTS

  • A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 scholarships
  • Academic requirements: must not have any subjects from the previous course pending at the time of presenting the documentation

  Second-year students must have a minimum average grade of 6.50 from the previous year

  Third-year students must have a minimum average grade of 7.00 from the previous year

  Fourth-year students must have a minimum average grade of 7.25 from the previous year

  • Single call, final submission date: 31st October

  • Financial requirements: taxable income per capita of the household in the latest Personal Income Tax declaration of a maximum of €30,600

Submission of Scholarship Documentation

The documentation to apply for a scholarship must be submitted at the reception of the ESCI-UPF building during the following hours:

Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm

The application period is from March 30th to May 12th (it is necessary to confirm this information here).

  • Economic requirements: consult the income and asset limits in the call.
  • Academic requirements: you must be enrolled in a minimum number of credits for the studies you are undertaking in the upcoming academic year and must have been enrolled in the previous year.
