Xavier Carbonell

Director of the MANGO Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility

Biography:

Xavier Carbonell worked as an auditor and financial consultant between 1988 and 1998. In 1998 he joined MANGO, where he worked as the MANGO Group’s director of CSR until 2014. In October 2014 he joined ESCI-UPF as academic director and director of the MANGO Chair in CSR. He specialises in matters of corporate social responsibility and auditing, and teaches both subjects at ESCI-UPF, together with other master’s courses and seminars.

Biography:

She was born in Valladolid in August 1973. She completed her higher education at the University of Valladolid, obtaining a double degree in Philosophy and Letters, specifically in English Philology and Spanish Philology. Subsequently, she completed the Pedagogical Aptitude Course (CAP) and dedicated herself to secondary education for two years before moving to Barcelona for personal reasons, where she has permanently settled.

She joined MANGO in 2001 and was part of the team that created the brand’s CSR department, where she has since been fully professionalised. Her work took a significant turn in 2016 when she assumed the group's CSR Director position. She has worked on developing CSR and sustainability in all company areas and has been a management committee member since 2023.

Currently, she is developing a personal project focused on advising companies and other entities and organising sustainability events.

Over the past two decades, she has accumulated knowledge, challenges, and great passions. She has visited over 50 countries and attended more than 100 events related to sustainability and fashion.

On a personal level, she is married with three children aged 21, 18, and 11. She takes pride in her great passions: social commitment and working with responsible and humanistic people. Very demanding, she works daily to be a better person in all facets of her life.

She is direct, responsible, passionate about learning about new cultures and committed to the world. She loves leather and engages in various social and environmental volunteer activities whenever possible.
